The brief
People planning a new house or a big renovation come to see the studio's work and decide if it fits their project. They need to find past projects, what the studio does and what it costs, and an easy way to get in touch. The site has to feel as careful as the buildings.
Design decisions
- One clean typeface with a few serif italic words, so headings feel precise but still warm.
- A quiet palette of paper, stone and charcoal with one clay accent, so the photos carry the colour.
- Large photos in a staggered grid, hung like a gallery wall rather than a row of same-size cards.
- Fees and step-by-step timings are shown up front, so visitors know what to expect before they call.
- On phones, every grid becomes one readable column, with a menu button and a full-height first screen.
What we built
- Hero: a full-screen house photo, a large headline, a short intro and a link to the work.
- Studio intro: a one-paragraph statement and four quick facts.
- Selected work: four projects in a staggered grid, each with name, town, year and type.
- Services: four numbered services with plain descriptions and fixed or starting fees.
- Process: five numbered steps with how long each takes, beside a photo.
- Studio: a model photo with the studio's story and four working principles.
- Enquiry: a short form with project type and budget, next to the address, hours, phone and email.
